How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To deliver notifications and alerts — your name, email, phone number, and messaging account details are used to send you uptime alerts, downtime reports, billing notifications, and service updates through channels you have configured. Messages are only sent to contacts explicitly confirmed by you.
- To process transactions — your name, address, email, phone number, and company name are shared with payment processing providers to complete your orders. Recurring subscription payments may be charged automatically using the same payment method.
- To personalize your experience — we use your information to tailor responses to your individual needs and preferences.
- To improve our service — we analyze usage patterns and feedback to continuously improve our website monitoring platform.
- To provide customer support — your information helps us respond effectively to your support requests.
- To send service communications — the email address you provide may be used to send transactional emails, order updates, and occasional product or service news. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties, except as described in this policy.
Data Sharing & Third Parties
We may share your information with trusted third parties in the following circumstances:
- Message delivery providers (SMS gateways, mobile carriers) — to deliver alerts and notifications you have configured.
- Payment processors — to handle billing and subscription payments.
- Infrastructure and hosting providers — who assist in operating our platform and are bound by confidentiality agreements.
- Legal compliance — we may disclose your information when required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Host-Tracker, our customers, or others.
In the unlikely event of an unencrypted data breach, we will notify every affected customer within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach.
Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide our services:
- Trial accounts — data is retained for 3 months after the trial period expires.
- Paid subscriptions — data is retained for 2 years after the paid period ends, to allow renewal without loss of monitoring history.
- Free (permanent) accounts — data may be retained indefinitely, as it is difficult to determine whether free users are still active.
You may request deletion of your data at any time (see "Your Rights" below).

We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement industry-standard safeguards, including:
- Secure, encrypted data transmission via SSL/TLS technology.
